How do I check prayer times for my city?

Open Prayer Times, type your city name (for example London, Paris or Berlin) and pick it from the list — or tap "Use my location" to detect it automatically. You will see Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha for today.

How are the prayer times on the site calculated?

Prayer times come from the trusted Aladhan prayer-times API, which computes them from your location's coordinates using standard calculation methods. Times can vary slightly by method and local moon sighting — for exact congregational times, please check with your local mosque. For religious rulings, please consult a scholar.

Are the prayer times accurate for European cities?

Yes — the Prayer Times tool works worldwide, including all European cities. Just search your city or use your location. For mosque-specific jamaat times, confirm locally.

My location is not detected for prayer times. What should I do?

Your browser asks permission to share your location — please tap "Allow". If it still fails, just type your city name manually in the Prayer Times search box; that always works.

How often are currency rates updated?

The Daily Currency Rates page refreshes every day from a live exchange-rate feed, so you always see fresh rates for all countries. Rates are indicative — banks may charge slightly different rates.

Can I change the base currency on the currency rates page?

Yes. On the Currency Rates page you can switch the base between EUR, USD, GBP and PKR — all world currencies are recalculated against your chosen base instantly.

How do I use the currency converter?

Open the Currency Converter, enter an amount, choose the "from" and "to" currencies, and see the converted value instantly — with live rates and editable rates if you want your own numbers.

How do I check sunrise and sunset times?

Open Sunrise & Sunset, enter your city or use your location — you will see today's sunrise, sunset, solar noon and total day length, updated daily.

How do I use the age calculator?

How do I use the BMI calculator?

What do the BMI categories mean?

Roughly: below 18.5 is underweight, 18.5–24.9 is healthy, 25–29.9 is overweight, and 30+ is obese. These are general ranges from the BMI Calculator — not medical advice; please see a doctor for health decisions.

How do I calculate zakat with the zakat calculator?

What breaks a fast in Ramadan?

What is Taraweeh?

What is Laylatul Qadr?

Laylatul Qadr — the Night of Decree — is the blessed night in the last ten nights of Ramadan when the Quran was first revealed. Worship on this night is described as better than a thousand months. What is fidya?

Fidya is a charitable compensation given when someone cannot fast (for example due to chronic illness or old age) and cannot make the fasts up later — typically feeding a poor person for each missed fast. Amounts and rules vary, so For religious rulings, please consult a scholar.

What is kaffara?

When is Ramadan 2027?

What is the Hijri calendar?

The Hijri (Islamic) calendar is a lunar calendar of 12 months, beginning from the Prophet Muhammad's migration (Hijrah) to Madinah — we are currently in the 1400s AH. Months like Ramadan and Dhul-Hijjah move through the seasons because the lunar year is about 11 days shorter than the solar year.

Why do prayer times differ between mosques?

Mosques may follow different calculation methods (angle settings for Fajr/Isha) and fiqh opinions (for example on Asr time), which shifts the timetable slightly. Can I fast while travelling?

What is suhoor and iftar?

What is zakat nisab?

Nisab is the minimum amount of wealth a Muslim must hold for a lunar year before zakat becomes due — classically the value of 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver. What should I do if I miss a fast in Ramadan?
