What this weather tool does

This is a live 7-day weather forecast for 12 European capitals: Berlin, Paris, London, Madrid, Rome, Amsterdam, Vienna, Warsaw, Stockholm, Athens, Lisbon and Prague. Pick a city and you get today's conditions — temperature, feels-like, a plain-words weather description, humidity, wind speed and the chance of rain — plus a 7-day strip showing the high, the low and rain probability for each day ahead.

The data comes from Open-Meteo, a free weather API that needs no key and no account. Your browser fetches the numbers straight from Open-Meteo each time you press the button, so the forecast is always fresh. Nothing is stored, nothing is tracked, and there is no sign-up.

How to read the forecast

  • Rain chance is a probability, not a promise: 70% means rain is likely at some point that day in the city area — a good day to move museum visits indoors.
  • Wind is shown in km/h at 10 metres height. Above ~30 km/h expect a gusty, coat-flapping day; above ~50 km/h ferries and outdoor events may be disrupted.
  • Humidity tells you how heavy the air feels. High humidity plus heat means sticky, tiring days — drink extra water.
  • Feels-like blends temperature, wind and humidity — trust it more than the raw number when dressing for the day.
🌍 Tip: day names and times use each city's own time zone (e.g. Europe/Berlin), so the 7-day labels match the local calendar, not your phone's.

7-day trip-planning tips for Europe

  • Pack layers, not bulk: European weather swings fast, especially in spring and autumn. A 7-day forecast showing 8–17°C means layers beat a single heavy jacket.
  • Check rain % before booking outdoor days: move boat tours, rooftop dinners and hikes to the driest-looking day in the strip, and keep high-rain days for museums and cafés.
  • Compare cities when route-planning: switch to Compare mode and tick up to 4 cities side-by-side — start your trip where the next week looks kindest and end where it looks warmest.
  • Re-check in the morning: forecasts firm up as the day approaches. Glance at the tool over morning chai — 30 seconds, no app to open.
  • Mind the extremes: southern capitals (Madrid, Athens, Lisbon) can top 35°C in summer — plan sightseeing early, rest at midday; northern ones (Stockholm, Warsaw) turn quickly after October, so pack accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Europe weather forecast free?

Yes — completely free. This page reads live forecast data from the Open-Meteo API, which is free and keyless, so there is nothing to buy, no trial, and no account to create.

Which cities are included in the forecast?

Twelve European capitals are preloaded: Berlin, Paris, London, Madrid, Rome, Amsterdam, Vienna, Warsaw, Stockholm, Athens, Lisbon and Prague. Each shows current conditions plus a 7-day outlook.

How accurate is the Open-Meteo forecast?

Open-Meteo blends several national and global weather models (including DWD, ECMWF and GFS) and updates several times a day. It is reliable for 7-day trip planning; forecasts are most certain for the next 1–3 days and gradually less certain further out, so re-check closer to your travel day.

Can I compare weather between European cities?

Yes — switch to Compare mode, tick up to 4 cities, and see side-by-side cards with today's conditions plus a 7-day mini table for each city. It is made for route planning, e.g. deciding whether to start a trip in Lisbon or Athens.

Does it need sign-up or an app?

No. The whole tool runs in your browser — no sign-up, no app install, no permissions. Just pick a city and the live forecast loads.
